Description

THE THIRD CEOLOTITAN PISCATOR ON THE INTERNET!!!!!!
This creature is based on RickRaptor105 and DeinonychusEmpire’s drawings
(This is my first artwork on deviantart)

It is already known for 15 years that Tyrannosaurus rex wasn´t the largest predatory dinosaur. Members of the family Carcharodontosauridae were bigger - with a length of 14 meters and a weight of 7 tons. Absolute champion has been the 17 meters long and 8 ton weighing Spinosaurus, which probably spend a lot of its time in the water, which might be one reason why this crocodile-like animal got so huge. But after five years of digging in Utah paleontologists unearthed in Lower Cretaceous sediments a giant which dwarfed all other carnivores. 26 meters measured the animal from snout to tail, but its weight was surprisingly low, only 8 tonnes. Looked like that of oversized heron. It’s skull alone was 3 meters long. The jaw was toothless. If the proportions are right, then this grazile giant might have measured 8 meters at the hip.
The original phylogenetic analysis show that this large dinosaur was a close relative of primitive hollow-boned dinosaurs like Coelophysis. These giant theropods crowd out the spinosaurs 94 million years ago. The Coelotitans shared the territories with the large Azhdarchids. But the Coelotitans were the dominants.
These creatures ruled the rivers and swamps in the cretaceous North America 94 million years ago.
Robert Gaston from the Utah Museum of Natural History gave the animal the scientific name "Coelotitan piscator"
But 6 years later the new phylogenetic analysis showed that this large dinosaur wasn’t a close relative of primitive Coelophysis. Robert Gaston thought it was a survived coelophysid, but he had to realize after that its might be an evolved Comsognathidae (probably a close relative of Sinocalliopteryx from China). So the Coelotitan wasn’t a survived coelophysid, but its still a fantastic creature. The name Coelotitan , has been published first, so this is the right name. This enormous compsognathidae took over the rool of the spinosaurs, and Gaston's team found an other specimen in 67 million year old rock layers. This creature was a great surviver!!!
This evolved compsognathidae’s 3 meters long jaw was very strong, even though it seems to be weak. It's bite force was nearly about 2 tonnes or more!!! This allowed it to be the Coelotitan had to be hunt other prey, like juvinile sauropods, tyrannosaurs, other dinosaur babies, and the middle-sized hadrosaurs. This behavior is very similar to the great Azhdarchid’s and Marabou stork's
The long legs enable the phenominal run. And the long clawed 3 meters long arms were very deadly weapons.
This is one of my new favourite dinosaur :D

(and sorry for the bad english :) )
